Dodgers’ ace Clayton Kershaw looks like he is ready to have another Cy Young Award type season.
And if he goes at the rate he currently is at, he just may end up winning the NL MVP.
On the mound, Kershaw was nearly untouchable. He gave up only four hits in a complete game shutout against the San Francisco Giants. He outdueled Matt Cain in 4-0 shutout. Kershaw went all nine innings and put on a great pitching display.
He was also swinging the bat as well. He got things going for the Dodgers and got the first run of the game. He hit a solo shot to deep center, leading off in the 8th. This gave the Dodgers the 1-0 lead, and more importantly momentum, as they went on to score three more runs in the inning. This was Clayton Kershaw’s first career home run.
