Preston (Founder)- Boston

Hey I’m Preston. I’m the founder of Big Play Nation, and I write primarily for the New England Patriots and NFL Sections.

I’ve been a Boston sports fan for basically my whole life. I’m a die hard fan of the Patriots and the Bruins, and I sprinkle in a little Red Sox and Celtics here and there.

I started watching hockey two years ago in the beginning of the 2011 NHL season. That was the exact year that the Bruins won the Stanley Cup, and it was when I fell in love with hockey. I will remember some things from that year forever, notably Nathan Horton pouring Boston water on the ice of Rogers Arena in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

My focus is definitely football. I have studied the art of the NFL diligently for many years. I own several books on football strategy, plays, scouting methods, and film study, all of which I have perused and apply to my articles. I spend time studying film and doing analytics work to deliver the highest quality analysis there is to offer.

Hope you enjoy, and please, check out the Boston sports section!

Ricky- Miami

Hey everyone,

My name is Ricardo but I’ll be going by RickyEli. I will be writing about the Miami Marlins and Miami Heat. I will also talk about Florida Gators athletics, but for the most part it will be about baseball and basketball in Miami. I will try to post something at least every weekend. Around this time of the year, I will be talking about the defending champions of the NBA, the  Miami Heat, and as Spring Training comes around, I will post about the Miami Marlins, who
are trying to bounce back from a disappointing season that was full of high expectations following their rebranding and opening of their new stadium, and they will be lead by their young slugger, Giancarlo Stanton. As March Maddness comes near, I will mention the Florida Gators basketball team, who are constantly ranked in the top 10.

A Little About Myself

I was born and raised in South Florida, and I have always had a love and obsession for following sports. I grew up a fan of both the then Florida Marlins and New York Yankees. Recently I have started to like the Marlins more. My favorite NFL team is the New England Patriots. This is because when I was younger, I was watching a Super Bowl game between then and the St. Louis Rams, and I told myself that whoever won would be my favorite team. Thank God the Patriots won.My favorite NBA team is the Miami Heat, since they are the home team.On the NHL side, I favor the Florida Panthers. I am the biggest fan of the Florida Gators, and started constantly following them when they won the NCAA National Championship in basketball in back to back season in 2006 and 2007. I also started watching the football team in 2006 when they had the addition of then freshman, Tim Tebow, who I am also a big fan of.

Well I hope you all enjoy this blog, and I will be keeping you guys posted on baseball and basketball in Miami,  along with Florida Gators sports!
