Stephen Curry on Brink of New NBA Record

Image

Golden State Warriors Guard Stephen Curry is only two 3-pointers away from a new NBA record.  Many believe Ray Allen’s record of 269 3-pointers in a single NBA season, will broken by the first quarter of tonight’s game versus the Portland Trailblazers. Considering the way Stephen Curry has been shooting this season there is no reason to think otherwise.

With Curry’s twice repaired right ankle he is definitely showing what he can do at the top of his game. According to recent statics, Curry is shooting about 45.5 percent from behind the 3 point line in the last 77 games.

Curry himself admits he wants Ray Allen’s record, and he knows what it’ll take too get that. However, he states that he doesn’t want to dedicate his energy to breaking the record but instead focus on the game as a whole. As long as he plays like always, by the end of the night we will have a new NBA record for most 3 pointers in a single season.
